Get started with L-keypmap
Prepare Android, connect your keyboard and mouse, set up Shizuku and create your first profile.
L-keypmap maps an external keyboard and mouse to touch controls. Start with a simple profile and verify it on your own device.
1. Prepare your device
- Android 11 or later, with an external keyboard and mouse connected.
- Set up Shizuku using its official instructions.
- Check the terms of the app or game you intend to use with L-keypmap.
Not every ROM supports reading and injecting input. The app checks your device’s capabilities before allowing a mapping session.
2. Download and install
Open L-keypmap → Downloads on this website. Once a public source is available, get the APK from the source listed there. A public download link will be added later.
If Android asks, allow APK installation for the app opening the installer. Open L-keypmap after installation and follow its permission diagnostics.
3. Create your first profile
- Select the app to control and create a dedicated profile.
- Open that app and position touch regions over its on-screen controls.
- Assign keys from your keyboard or mouse, then save the profile.
- Test a few basic actions before adding WASD or mouse camera controls.
Press F12 to stop mapping and return to the main screen. The middle mouse button toggles mouse-look in supported configurations.
4. If mapping does not start
Check that Shizuku is running, your input devices are connected and the input diagnostics pass. Granted permissions alone do not prove mapping works on a ROM that fails the capability checks.
When reporting a problem, include the phone model, Android version and the step that failed. Hide personal information in screenshots.
